Marseille Provence Airport: how the pick-up works
Marseille Provence is the region's second airport and serves as an alternative to Nice, often on price or route grounds. The journey to the Riviera is a genuine long-distance transfer: about two hours to Cannes, two and a quarter to Nice, an hour and forty to Saint-Tropez on the A8. Over those distances, the choice between a private car and a train with a connection turns less on price than on comfort and door-to-door convenience, particularly with luggage or as a family. The airport has two terminals, Terminal 1 for most traffic and Terminal 2 for low-cost flights; they are close but distinct. As at Nice, the driver waits in the arrivals hall with a board and the flight is tracked. On this kind of journey, a firm price quoted in advance is particularly useful.

Marseille or Nice — which airport should I choose?
It depends on your final destination and your flight. For the Alpes-Maritimes, Nice is much closer. For the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the western Var, Marseille is comparable and sometimes better served.
The journey takes two hours — is there a break?
