Twenty-one kilometres, thirty minutes: the gap comes from the climb. Èze-Village is perched four hundred metres up on the Moyenne Corniche, and the ascent from the Basse Corniche is by hairpins. It is also the journey where an address mix-up costs the most: Èze-Bord-de-Mer, at sea level, is an entirely separate place a quarter of an hour away by road. Specify which, and your hotel's name. The village is entirely pedestrian: the drop-off is at the entrance car park, from which a steep cobbled walk of a few minutes remains to the hotels and the Exotic Garden. The establishments on the Moyenne Corniche have their own access. The Grande Corniche, above, offers the panorama but adds appreciably to the journey.
