Only fourteen kilometres, but twenty minutes of driving: the Basse Corniche crosses Nice and follows the shore with no bypass, which makes the journey time dependent on city traffic. It is a short transfer but not always a quick one. The destination determines everything else. The hotels around the bay and Place Amélie Pollonnais are reached directly. The old town, with its vaulted Rue Obscure, is impassable: the drop-off is on the quays. And for a cruise call the logistics change completely, passengers boarding and landing by tender at the Darse or the Port de la Santé, with a time to be back aboard that governs everything. The villas on the slopes above, finally, are reached by narrow steep lanes.

The indicative rate is 25 € one way in a saloon car — 14 kilometres at 1.8 € per kilometre. That covers pick-up at your address or in the arrivals hall, flight or train tracking, waiting time if your transport is late, luggage and tolls.
